Message From The Chairman

Welcome to our website!  The Alabama-Mississippi Section of the American Water Works Association is committed to providing our members with what they need to continue managing and protecting our most valuable resource, clean and safe water.

We have links for  new membership educational sessions, or sponsorships.  We would love to have you join our current  930 plus members and be able to take advantage of the benefits of our online CEU site, 360Water, or come see us in person at one of our many onsite training sessions we offer throughout the year in both states.

Do you currently work for a utility and think you’re doing an awesome job?  Our Awards tab is where to go to nominate a Plant, Distribution System, Operator, or Young Professional for recognition.

Are you looking to continue your education?  Check out our Scholarships link to apply.  We have awarded nearly $60,000 scholarship dollars in the past three years.  Our Board of Trustees strives to recognize individuals working to further their education in the water-related field.

Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.  Follow us to stay apprised of what’s happening in our Section as well as on the National level.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our education events and at our 70th Annual Conference (#almsawwa70) at The Grand in Point Clear, AL on October 15, 2017.

Amy McLeod - Section Chair
