Spouse Program

On behalf of the spouse committee, we’d like to invite you down to The Grand in Point Clear this October.  The committee has been hard at work getting together a series of fun events.  We’re kicking things off on Sunday night with a local DJ providing us with some music and then leading us in some trivia.  You’ve got plenty of time to study up on your movie and music trivia from the 60s on up to the present.  Each table will make up a team competing for some cash prizes!  Before you take a seat, or maybe during a break, be sure to check out our oversized outdoor photo booth.  We have a nearby company coming out with plenty of props for some fun pictures.  We’ll be able to print them onsite or email them to print later.  It’s going to be a one-of-a-kind keepsake from our 70th Annual Conference.

Monday morning we’ll get started with a filling breakfast buffet before joining a local artist to make our own pottery.  After we pinch our pots, the artist will take them back to her studio to fire them for us.  She will have them ready for us when we check out on Wednesday.  For lunch on Monday, The Grand is providing us with vouchers to use in their dining room.  Their food is so amazing, it’s not something you’ll want to miss!  Monday afternoon, you are free to do as you please.  There will be shuttles running between The Grand and the Hampton Inn and the Fairhope square.  There are plenty of cute shops to keep you busy all afternoon.  Or you can make an appointment at the spa.  Or just lounge by the pool.  As always with our conferences, dinner is on your own for Monday night.

Tuesday morning is our most fun annual event – bingo!  We won Amy over and convinced her to let us have mimosas for the first hour of bingo.  Our spouse committee has been busy scouting out prizes, so please don’t miss out on this fun time!  Everyone is a winner!  Once bingo is wrapped, we’ll join the main conference group for a plated lunch where conference sponsors are recognized.  Take a break after lunch, but be sure to join us on the conference center patio at 3:00 for the ice cream social.  Pipe tapping and meter madness will be going on while we enjoy an afternoon treat.  Tuesday night we will wrap up the conference with a reception in the conference center’s ballroom, followed by dinner and entertainment.  This year’s dinner entertainment will be a murder mystery dinner theater from a group in Mobile.  It’s different than anything we’ve ever done before, so make sure you join us.

Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions you have between now and October!
